Understanding the Types of Leads from SOLD.com

SOLD.com provides two types of leads to agents in our network: Appointment Leads and Active Leads (also known as raw or non-appointment leads). Knowing the difference between these lead types and how to work them effectively is key to maximizing your success.

1. Appointment Leads

What They Are

  • Appointment Leads are seller leads where the SOLD.com Concierge team has contacted the consumer and scheduled a consultation based on their initial inquiry (e.g., home valuation or cash offer).
  • You are provided with the consumer’s full details: name, phone number, email, and property address.

How They Work

  • You’ll receive a text notification when a new Appointment Lead is available.
  • You have 30 minutes to claim the appointment before it moves to the next eligible agent.
  • Once claimed, prepare for the consultation by reviewing the lead’s details and tailoring your approach to their expressed interest.

2. Active Leads (Raw or Non-Appointment Leads)

What They Are

  • Active Leads are leads where the Concierge team has not yet made contact with the consumer.
  • These leads include the name and address, and for zip code sponsors, the phone number and email address as well.
  • Often, these leads are in the early stages of exploring their options.

Why They’re Provided

  • To give you an opportunity to start outreach while the Concierge team continues to attempt contact.
  • These leads help expand your pipeline and offer opportunities for future conversions.

Best Practices for Working Active Leads

  • Send Personalized Mail: Use the address to send a letter or postcard introducing yourself.
  • Initiate Contact: If contact details are available, make a friendly introduction via phone or email.
  • Build Trust: Approach leads with patience and provide value, as many may not be ready to sell immediately.
