What Happens After I Claim an Appointment Referral?

Congratulations on claiming an appointment referral! Here’s what you need to know and do to maximize your success:

What Happens Next?

  • Appointment Confirmations:

    • The consumer will receive an appointment confirmation immediately after booking, along with reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before the scheduled time.
    • No need to call beforehand, but if you’d like to send a quick text for a personal touch, use this template:
"Hi {{Insert Client Name}}, my name is {{Insert Your Name}}, we have a home valuation scheduled for {{Time/Date}}. If this time and date no longer work, please let me know. Otherwise, I’ll see you at your home then!"
  • This Is a Consultation:

    • Please note this is a consultation, not a listing appointment. The goal is to build rapport, provide valuable insights, and set the stage for a potential listing agreement later.
    • Best Practices for Appointment Consultations: Attached is a detailed guide to help you prepare and conduct a successful consultation. View Best Practices.

What to Do After Claiming an Appointment Referral

  1. Review Lead Details:

    • Log into your SOLD.com Agent Portal to access the lead’s contact details, property information, and lead intent under the Referrals tab.
    • Review and take notes about the client’s needs or preferences based on the information provided.
  2. Prepare for the Appointment:

    • Review comparable market data or neighborhood trends to be prepared for any valuation-related questions.
    • Bring any tools or materials that will showcase your expertise (e.g., market analysis, client testimonials, etc.).
  3. Organize and Update:

    • Keep your portal organized by updating the referral status after each interaction.
    • Use the notes section to document conversations or next steps.
  4. Follow Up If Necessary:

    • If the client is not ready to list immediately, set reminders to stay in touch with market updates, insights, or offers for a follow-up consultation.
